I'm man, therefore I...fix things
There’s no doubt about it – men like to be problem solvers.
Break a gadget, he’ll be determined to fix it; can’t work your computer, suddenly he’s an IT specialist; need to vent after a draining day at work – guaranteed he’ll be offering up new job solutions (even though all you really wanted was someone who’d listen to your rant!).
Unfortunately though, there’s one problem/solution area where most men fall seriously short, and that’s in the grooming department. Which is exactly where you step in and show him a thing or two on being the expert!
But just in case you’re not completely confident being his grooming guide, here are a few stellar solutions to some of his most common problems…
Your man has…shaving rash
Shaving rash is generally caused by an inflammation or blockage of the hair follicles, which can occur if your man shaves incorrectly (using a blunt razor or without proper shaving cream/gel), or if the blade doesn’t glide smoothly over his skin.
Try: GAIA Made for Men Shave Gel as it’s enriched with avocado oil to help the razor glide easily over his skin, and also contains aloe vera to help soothe existing irritation and prevent rashes.
Your man has…ingrown hairs
Ingrown hairs can also cause the hair follicles on his face and/or body to become irritated and infected, so it’s important for your man to exfoliate his skin on a regular basis to slough away dead skin cells and prevent ingrown hairs.
Try: GAIA Made for Men Face & Body Scrub as it contains crushed walnut shells as well as nourishing oils to help remove ingrown hairs and keep your man’s skin soft and hydrated.
Your man has…dry, dehydrated skin
Constant shaving as well as the lack of attention most men pay to their skin care regime (how many times have you seen him wash his face with the hand soap?), can wreak havoc on the moisture levels in his skin. But let’s face it: unless he’s more on the metrosexual side, he’s not going to be interested in incorporating serums, moisturisers and masks into his daily ritual. Instead, suggest an ultra-hydrating face cream that he can use as a daily moisturiser and as an after-shave balm (he’ll think you’re a genius and you’ll love the extra room you get in the bathroom cupboard!).
Try: GAIA Made for Men Face Crème – it’s packed with cooling and soothing ingredients (such as organic avocado, sunflower and wheat germ oils) to ensure his skin stays moisturised to the max without looking greasy. It’s also the perfect after-shave balm as it contains witch hazel to soothe and tone just-shaved skin.
