Your essential bedtime beauty regime

No matter how busy your daily routine is, how crazy the hours you work are, or how hectic your social life might be, it’s essential to have your nighttime beauty routine under control.
Making sure you take care of yourself before bed is not only vital for keeping your skin in working order and enabling your products to work to their optimum, but it also ensures that you’re giving yourself a chance to look your absolute best the next day.
So, no matter what your skin concerns or beauty woes, make sure you’ve got these four essential bedtime beauty steps down to a tee, and your skin will be thanking you as soon as your alarm rings.
BEDTIME BEAUTY ESSENTIAL STEP #1: REMOVE ALL TRACES OF MAKE-UP
Do you rely on your cleanser to rid your skin of all traces of make-up? Well, while some cleansers are formulated to whisk away make-up, others just can’t cut it (so to speak!) Arm yourself with a pack of make-up remover wipes, such as Dermalogica PreCleanse Wipes, and sweep one over your skin, eyes and lips before you cleanse to dissolve all make-up – even the most stubborn mascara and lip stains.
BEDTIME BEAUTY ESSENTIAL STEP #2: CLEANSE THE DAY AWAY
After removing all of your make-up, your skin will now be prepped for a thorough cleansing with a cream, gel, foam or oil cleanser. Look for something like Planet Eve Organics Facial Cleansing Oil to deeply cleanse without stripping the skin of its natural oils. An absolute essential at nighttime, a cleanser is will help to ensure that your skin is clear of pore-clogging oil and daily grime so that your skin can breathe and absorb your serum and moisturiser more effectively overnight.
BEDTIME BEAUTY ESSENTIAL STEP #3: HYDRATION 101
There’s absolutely no excuse for going to bed without giving your skin its nightly dose of hydration. Just like a big glass of water quenches your body’s thirst, a hydrating night cream replenishes any moisture lost from your skin during the course of the day. After cleansing and applying a serum, smooth over your face a dollop of moisturiser, such as Sukin Moisture Restoring Night Cream, and let it soak in before hitting the hay. The creams’ ingredients will work overtime in conjunction with your skin cells’ natural nightly repair function, helping to replenish your skin and provide a glowing complexion come morning.
BEDTIME BEAUTY ESSENTIAL STEP #4: STAY SWEAT-FREE
Before jumping under the covers, give yourself a head start for the day ahead by applying Mitchum Clinical Anti-Perspirant Deodorant Powder Fresh to your underarms. Enriched with aloe and vitamin E, this clinical deodorant will work overnight to provide extra-strength protection, so that you can wake up and get on with your morning routine without having to worry about sweat and odour getting in your way for up to 48 hours (yes, even after your morning shower!)
What are your bedtime beauty essentials? Will you be adding any of these to your bedtime beauty routine?

My routine is wipes, cleanse, serum/oil, moisturise. I use my deodorant much earlier in the day, straight after my shower

I try to do all of these, I don't use deodorant though as I always have a shower in the morning.

Good tips except for the last one... might not be a good idea to block up pores during the night?

I love using a cleansing oil at night and also make sure I use a hydrating eye cream, lip balm and eye cream before bed.

It is a good idea to put a clinical anti-antiperspirant on before bed (providing you haven't just shaved your underarms), but I prefer regular deodorant and that's fine to apply any time! A cleanser I love that removes ALL make-up us LUSH Ultrabland.

I do all of these and a couple of times a week add a mini facial - exfoliation and masque. I also rub cuticle oil into my nail bed, apply foot cream and hand cream. Time consuming but important to me.

I'm still loving the Mitchum clinical deodorant. It's amazing stuff. At the moment (because I'm so exhausted - 18 day of pregnancy to go), I'm using the Aldi sensitive skin facial wipes. They cleanse, tone and moisturise all in one and my skin seems to really respond well to them. The best thing is they don't cost a fortune!

Sorry, but I won't be putting on this brand of deodorant on my skin as it contains aluminium.
