Quite a helpful article, my goodness so many serums to choose from though. If my skin needs a boost I usually apply a carrier oil such as rosehip with essential oil

Someday, when I'm a real grown up, I'll be able to afford and use La Mer!

I did have Rosacea for many years. I was on medication taking tablets and using cream. Script cream for my face made my face worse. With using natural products it has really helped my skin. Serums are great.

Serums are one of the best beauty items to arrive in the last few years I believe. My favourite is Springfields, the aromatherapy brand, unfortunately not with BH.

I'd be interested to find out which drugstore serums are comparable to these listed

I use 2 serums from The Ordinary depending on how my skin feels. I like using serums and I do notice improvements in my skin when I use them consistently.

I love a good serum and although they do add another layer to your skin care and protection regime and additional expense I have had great results. There are so many serums that suit every budget and skin issue they really are a must especially for ageing skin.

I use several different serums for day and night but none of these. Serums seem to make my skin just a bit more smooth and glowy.

Ive stopped using serums as I noticed my skin is in good condition anyway without them so I just cleanse and moisturise and exfoliate once a week and my skin is great so I figured why layer on more products.

The only one out of the mentioned serums I've tried is the Lancôme which I really like. I'd love to try the La Mer but I'd like to be sure it suited my skin before I paid that sort of money.

The only one of these I've tried is the Lancome serum and I didn't like it. Very disappointing given the price. I would love to try some of the others featured on this list as I have dehydrated skin with pigmentation and blackheads (clearly won the lottery there) but I'm pretty happy with my Nuxellence serum.

I was gifted the Lancome serum and my dry and mature skin didn't like it. However, it seems to be very popular.
