Some formulas are very thick, so jars are better option. I do not mind them. When people mention 'hygiene', do not worry, bacteria can pass anywhere it wants. Jar, pump...alll the same.

Pump is nice. Just depends on the product itself

I like the hygiene of a pump pack but only one that I can take apart to get the last bits out of it~

This is great. Such different packaging and sizes yet all 50 ml!! I do like products in jars so I can use every last bit but it is unhygienic.

Thank you all for the great feedback on this video. I found it really interesting when looking into the topic and was hoping that I wasn't the only one interested in this. I am absolutely loving blogging regularly on BH and am in the process of developing my own blog which will have both written and video blogs. Daunting but exciting!

I enjoyed your video Kate. It's funny how the shape of a bottle (tall bottle) can make you believe that it has more product than a shorter or rounder product. I guess it's a lesson to us to always check how many mls are in the bottle or jar. I have to agree too that Elizabeth Arden Prevage is an excellent product as are the Estee Lauder ones you mentioned.

Great video Kate, it is amazing how different we all feel about packaging. I prefer pump dispensers but only if the lid comes off to see what is left, and to use a spatula to get the last bits out.

Interesting question! On TT BH always suggest questions such as how was the packaging. I think we are always attracted to the glamorous but the practical does give us better value for money.

Great video, all your videos are so clear and to the point :)
I do love pump packagin because it's not messy and you can get exactly how much you want out but I do think that it is extremely wasteful. It's okay with creams and stuff because you can just cut it if you want but with foundations that usually come in glass pump bottles, there's not much you can do. So for that reason tubes are probably my preferred packaging :)

I like containers that let you know how much of the product is left, and also allow you to get all of the product out.

Great video! I like the pump action dispensers as it means that I don't have to re-dip my fingers in the product each time I use it.

Great video with lots of valid points. I love tubes because they are less likely to contaminate the product. I have found with many products the packaging can be very deceptive regarding the actual content. It is also a waste, as usually all the packaging goes straight into the recycle or rubbish bin. This is one thing the cosmetic industry could do for the enviroment is to REDUCE packaging!

Great video! I love the hygenicness of pumps, but don't love not being able to break into them to get the last of it out. Jars are much better in terms of getting to use all the product, but I don't like the lack of hygeine and some people tell me that active ingredients in jars loose their effectiveness when exposed to air. Tubes are great in terms of hygeine and be able to get to all the product, but like some others, I don't like that they won't stand up straight!

I think the brand 'simple' has really good packaging. They recently changed the the moisturiser to a pump, and now its so much better! I also like squeezable tubes. I don't like products with lids that much, its hard to keep them hygienic.

i prefer pumps for everything (being makeup or skincare). its much more hygenic and easier to use. for example i hate that the revlon colorstay foundation doesnt have a pump!
