The foundation that'll never let you down
As girls, we love foundation. It gives us the ability to perfect our complexions – to hide blemishes, pimples and pigmentation marks. It gives us the opportunity to add the radiance and dewiness our skin seems to lack. It's basically a wonderful liquid that can transform us ever-so-slightly or dramatically, depending on which variant we choose.
Some foundations can even do it all – providing lightweight coverage, while still successfully evening out your skin tone and looking completely natural. One such foundation range that is said to do just this is Revlon Nearly Naked Make-up and Pressed Powder, so of course, we had to test it out.
We put it through it’s paces on not only one bh team member, but three – all with different skin tones – to see just how well it worked to leave skin with a natural, fresh finish without compromising on things like coverage, comfort, or colour matching.
On fair skin
NEAT NEARLY NAKED FACT: the products will give you great coverage, help you cover imperfections and even out your skin tone without feeling heavy on your skin.
“What I enjoyed most was the coverage. It didn’t sit on top of my skin or feel heavy like some formulas can, yet it was still able to minimise my pigmentation and redness.” – bh’s Cherie.
On medium skin
NEAT NEARLY NAKED FACT: whether you use the foundation, the powder, or both, the range melts so perfectly into your skin, you can expect a result that looks nothing but fresh, natural, and healthy.
“I do not normally enjoy wearing much make-up so it was a relief to find a product that was not intimidating at all. My skin was even and smooth and didn't look overly made up in any way.” – bh’s Rachel.
On dark skin
NEAT NEARLY NAKED FACT: the foundation comes in 12 shades and contains weightless hollow silica pigments that mimic your skin’s tone and texture, meaning that you’ll get true-to-tone coverage every time – even on darker skin tones.
“I don't wear foundation normally because I don't really like how it usually looks and feels. Colour matching is pretty difficult, too. But this foundation was lightweight on my skin and gave a natural finish.” – bh’s Dawn.
