Throwback hair accessories
Forget wet look hair and other modern hair trends – this month, we’re going back in time with vintage hair accessories. Adorn your tresses with pearl hair pins, hair gems and fancy velvet ribbons a la Tory Burch, for an ultra girly hair look. Not sure how to style your accessory of choice? Rock retro hair: Sportsgirl Rose Velvet Bow Hair Tie ($9.95, sportsgirl.com.au), Witchery Pearl Hair Tie ($12.95, witchery.com.au), Love Rocks Rhinestone Burst Hair Clip Multipacks ($30, asos.com.au)
For a while there, we were #obsessed with long hair – but now cropped hair is officially back and better than ever. Michelle Williams, Scarlett Johansson, Janelle Monae and Jamie Lee Curtis are just a few of the celebrities with short hair on the red carpet. Not only is it super stylish, it’s also low maintenance and surprisingly versatile: With styles ranging from undercuts, to sweeping mohawks and pixie cuts.
Cushion foundation took the beauty world by storm last year, but now cushion compacts are cropping up in every makeup category: Cushion blush, cushion eyeliner, cushion concealer, cushion correcting powder… the list goes on. Watch the video to find out my favourite thing about them (and let me know whether you can relate in the comments section, below!).

Blue eye makeup
Blue eye makeup is one of those trends that just keeps coming back. From smoky eyeshadow with a blue-ish hue at the Oscars, to bold blue reverse eyeliner (that is, bolder on the bottom lid) on Instagram, it’s everywhere at the moment. Watch the video to see my attempt at wearing the trend, and let me know about your own experiments with coloured eye makeup in the comments section, below!
