This concealer worked amazingly for me - however, I can understand why it might not work so well for some (if you have dry skin maybe not). However for me this concealer is one of my go-to's for a quick look if I'm forgoing foundation and want to cover up a bit. The stick formula offers thick coverage, which I thought might be a bit hard to blend considering I usually use liquid concealers. However it blends really well and really quickly with a wet sponge (and even with a dry sponge, just takes a tad longer). It lasts really well during the day even without being set down. Great to wear on its own, and doesn't really move around foundation underneath if used at the same time. Loved it!

Cheap but worth it
I was surprised by this product as I thought it would be just a basic concelear because it was very cheap but I was absolutely wrong. For the price of this product, it offered great coverage. It also gave you this fresh and natural glow that you look for when you put on make up. I used this product without any other makeup and I feel like I don't need anything else because its really good.

A Decent Concealer
I like this concealer, its not my favourite one as I do prefer a liquid concealer but it is still a good product for the price. I do find the product to be really creamy and blends into the skin easily. I use it for my spots and redness rather than under my eyes as I find that it does have a tendency to crease when I use it there. It works well on my oily combination skin however those with super dry skin may find it clings to dry patches.
I do also make sure only to use a small amount of concealer otherwise it can be hard to blend.

As with all essence products this is super affordable and the idea that this comes in a sturdy stick form is handy, but this is just too stiff and dry.
I tried using this straight from the "bullet" but the product was so hard ijust felt that it was dragging against my skin.
It would work ok on some smalll scars or redness on my skin if I would use my finger to warm the product with my finger then pat it on my face, and this is way too thick and caked to use under eyes. The shade range is also very limited which is a shame.

Worst concealer ever!
This is one of the worst concealers I have ever used. First of its way to stiff and you can't work with it whatsoever. Second would have to be the shade selection is way of its either way to dark or light and with yellow under tones (I have pink undertones). I also have fairly bad under eye circles and this is useless in covering them. Also doesn't cover redness or pimples very well, It was a shame because some people rave about it. Just it didn't work for me

Better than I thought for the price
For only just over $4 from priceline, I definitely thought it would be a lot worse.
It works very well covering spots, for this choose a lighter shade.
Creamy, decent coverage
Definitely good for the price
Animal cruelty free which is great
Didn't make sensitive skin break out
Stays put if other makeup is put on top of it
It was my first time using essence, and although I liked it it didn't make me want to buy the brand again. Next time I will invest in something of better coverage quality
Didnt work very well on dry skin
Needed quite alot of layers to achieve full coverage. I bought it for under eye area and it didn't satisfy in this regard
Add a tiny drop of illuminator when blending for a more glowing, less matte look.
For dry skin, make sure you exfoliate and moisturize before using

A beginner's essential (for oily skin types)
Essence was one of the first makeup brands I purchased from when I was beginning makeup. The overall brand is amazing with having some really great and affordable products. The coverstick was my first concealer and personally, the colour matched my skin perfectly and it seemed to have covered my dark circles and blemishes really well. However, the product itself, I thought was really dry and thick, which made it hard to apply and blend on my skin. Overall its a really good product and i would recommend.

Lovely but not in my shade :(
Essence is a lovely, cruelty free brand that is one of my favourites, but I can't use any foundations/concealers because they unfortunately don't have anything for pale or dark skin tones. If this came in my colour, I'm sure it would be a staple for me, as it is lovely, thick and full coverage. I do find it to be a bit drying though, but I think that's just because it's a very matte long wear formula.
- moisturise beforehand to prevent from drying out your skin
- apply in stripes going outwards and blend
Medium skin tones for full coverage concealing

Does not wear well
I'm not a fan of this stick conscealor. To be fair, it is very cheap, but it just isn't the greatest thing essence has to offer.
I used this to spot conceal. Be aware that there are very limited shades to chose from so the lightest shade had to be used for my spots
When I applied this to my spots, it just didn't cover them very well. They were still quite noticeable.
Throughout the day, the spots just looked more and more dry and as the product wore off, they were somehow even more noticeable than in the beginning. You could only use this if you had very unnoticeable spots!

Good quality for its price!
I think it'd be unfair to compare this product to the likes of Maybelline's Fit Me Concealer or NARS Creamy Concealer mainly due to their pricing differences. For a product to be made and sold for just $3 and be of the good quality it is, is great! I think it's such a nice consistency and gives a good coverage - it's not the best concealer in the world but it's great for its price point.
I think it's really good for under eye redness and any blemishes - a little goes a long way as it can cake up if you overuse it.
A little goes a long way - make sure to set under the eye with a powder if prone to creasing

I hate this product. It is stiff and very very dry, my skin looked completely dehydrated to the point were i had to redo my makeup with another concealer. My skin looked patchy and the application was hard and uneven. It is one of the worst products i have ever tried in my life. It also made my acne flare up, my pimples where more red and bigger after i applied the concealer.

we are sorry to hear you had that experience, but thank you for your honesty.

I had just run out of my under eye concealer and needed something new yet affordable. At the same time I also needed something to help cover blemishes that always seem to be popping up on my face. I picked it up for $4 which is a bargain for concealer! The shade I picked up was a shade lighter than my complexion and had a yellow base, making it perfect for my skin. There aren't too many shades to choose from which can be a problem for those who have very pale or darker complexions. I have used a lot of there products and was always satisfied with the results. Not to mention I love that it's cruelty free too so I always keep coming back! The Essence coverstick comes in a wind up tube, almost like a lipstick but in light shades to conceal any imperfections as well as under the eye. The consistency is very creamy but it's not the easiest for using under the eyes as it can pull at the skin so I'm careful about how I use it. It's also somewhat hard to blend as it is quite thick. With blemishes or pigmentation, I just dab it on and then cover it with foundation. It makes my imperfections a lot less noticeable which is just what I want!
Great for covering up blemishes, redness or pigmentation. A bit tricky with under the eye as it doesn't blend as smoothly.

Very cheap and affordable concealer
This concealer is amazing for covering blemishes, redness and all that jazz but definitely NOT for undereyecircles. It can emphasize dry areas and make them seem crusty which is not very pleasant. I really like how that packaging is simple but sturdy. It's a very smooth and creamy concealer but it is a bit drying.

Anyone rating this product any less than three stars should think again...for a concealer under $10, this product has an EXCELLENT consistency - smooth, creamy and easily blend-able on most skin types (i.e. normal/oily/combination)
I give it four stars because it covers up problem areas and spots FAR better than a lot of pricier concealers on the market, and is easily applicable as a retractable stick.
The only downfall with this cover-stick is the limited range of shades you can buy it in. Essence manages to equally balance with both yellow and pink-toned colors, but there is not enough shades to suit all people. Though the shade I use is pretty good, it's not exact and would be the best concealer I've ever used if only it came in my pale vanilla skin tone.
Give it a try - I reckon most will be pleasantly surprised!
Wear over foundation - on skin without makeup, the concealer will look blotchy due to the limited range of shades.
People with problem skin who want to cover up unsightly spots or marks!

Great for small imperfections
I love essence brand and how affordable the range is. This cover stick is yet again a great addition to my make up bag. I use it after moisturising and dab small amount on any blemishes and also under my eyes before applying foundation. It's smooth and blends really well giving your great clear canvas ti work with.
Blend into skin on any blemishes before applying foundation

For the price, this concealer is pretty good, The consistency is creamy and easy to apply. It is great for chucking in a handbag for a day out to top-up if you think necessary as it is small and compact.
I found that it is great for covering redness but not as good for covering dark circles. Of course, this is only my personal experience and I have quite dark circles under my eyes. For pimples I would suggest a different concealer as it often dries on top of the pimple, making it more obvious.
Although I found it was not great at completely covering dark under eye circles, it was good for some coverage and did not leave concealer lines.
Most of the time the concealer will stay set on your face for most of the day but if you are someone who is constantly touching their face it will come off.
Anyone looking for a concealer to cover redness.

This product is okay. It's creamy and easy to blend, but very drying and doesn't last long on the face. It's affordable but the packaging is pretty cheap looking.
-Easy to blend
- Cheap packaging.
- Very drying
- Not long lasting

Considering the price it performs pretty well. It covers any redness and pigmentation on the face. It is creamy & easy to blend. However, I wouldnot recommend it being on undereye circles, as it can be very drying and will set in any fine lines.

It's a good price to start off with, always a win! But it had a good consistency and great full coverage, blends perfectly and as someone who finds it difficult to match colours to my pale skin this was the perfect match. It also didn't break me out and, lasted really well on my skin.
Use a brush to blend this into your skin.

Not a bad product, definitely a bargain. It's relatively creamy, covers up blemishes and dark circles fairly well. A pretty good product overall.
