10 days of infinite shine
There’s nothing quite like the shine of a fresh gel mani, right?
So what if we were to tell you that you could have that super shiny finish for up to 10 days?
This is exactly what the O.P.I Infinite Shine Gel Effects products have been formulated to do. Besides easily producing a gel-like manicure in the comfort of your own home, the three-step lacquer system has been developed to deliver a high-shine finish that lasts for up to 10 days.
Naturally, we just had to put this 10-day phenomenon to the test, so our in-house hand model, bh’s Rosie, went ahead and applied the three-step system to road-test. Starting with one coat of the Primer Base Coat (one coat for true staying power and stain-free removal), followed by the Lacquer Colour in ‘Running in the in-finite crowd’ (two thin coats with drying time in between), and finishing off with the Gloss Top Coat (one thin coat for a durable finish that cures for a mirror shine result).
“The 3-step system was super easy to use.”, says Rosie. “Each coat applied really smoothly and, as an added bonus, they dried really fast too. Most of all, I was impressed with the finish of the top coat - it looks way shinier than the top coat I usually use and more like a professional gel manicure!”
Unlike other at-home gel manicure systems that need a lamp to cure, Rosie was able to finish her top coat application and let it cure in the natural light - no machine required. As you can see in the photo from day one, the initial result was impressive and even after the first four days of her trial, there were still as shiny as ever!
But did it continue to last...
“About half way through the trial, I couldn’t avoid my housework any longer.” said Rosie. “I had to wash the dishes a couple of times (wearing gloves) and do some house cleaning. I did experience a few chips, but they were pretty tiny. But the most impressive thing was that the shine of the top coat didn’t dull at all. It honestly looked just as shiny as when I painted it on!”
Despite the longevity and gel-like finish of the OPI Infinite Shine Gel Lacquer System, when it comes time to removal time, it’s as easy to take off as any regular polish. No soaking or stubbornness!
So what was Rosie’s final verdict?
“I was so impressed with the longevity of shine of the top coat. It lasted throughout my entire trial and I even scored a few compliments about the shine and colour! I was also impressed that I didn’t have any bigger chips until around day seven or eight. It was super easy to remove the polish with my regular nail polish remover and a cotton pad, and I’m so looking forward to lacquering up with the shade ‘In Pursuit of Purple’ for the weekend!”
