How-to: make your own sugar scrub

As lucky as we are to be spoiled with so many fabulous beauty product options, there’s nothing better than putting our skills to the test and creating something that’s entirely ours. Just like baking a cake from scratch, only the beauty variety!
We’ve come up with a super-sweet sugar scrub that’s sure to brush away all the pesky dry skin from your hands and leave you with one pair of seriously smooth and rejuvenated hands…
Here’s how to make it for yourself at home:
You’ll need:
1 glass container
1 cup sugar
¼ cup sweet almond oil
essential oils of your choice (we recommend rosehip or jojoba for their nourishing qualities)
½ tsp. vitamin E oil
1 tsp. glycerin
Instructions:
1. Pour the sugar into a clean small to medium-sized mixing bowl.
2. Add the sweet almond oil, glycerin, vitamin e oil and the essential oil(s) of your choice. Mix together well.
3. Store your new scrub in a clean glass container and use whenever your hands are in need of a pick-me-up!
Which essential oils would you add to make it your own?
If you’re in a kind of DIY mood, find out how to make your own hand peel…

This is something I would totally do. I would use lemon essential oil to give me that fresh citrusy scent to my hands.

This looks really easy and it's a great idea. I've bought then from Lush before but I think it's a rip-off after seeing this.

Haha I once tried to make my own lip scrub by mixing sugar with vaseline, it actually worked pretty well! But this recipe sounds good, I think I'll try some time, I'd probably use jasmine essential oil... or maybe rose.
