Beauty oils you have to start using right now

The beauty world is no stranger to facial oils, some of which we can’t even pronounce (kukui-what?). And while you know there are major benefits of adding beauty oils to your repertoire, you might not be so clear on which formulation is right for you.
RELATED: Which facial oil should you be using?
In a market flooded with all manner of oils – it can be hard to work out which oil is good for what and when! Ahead, we break down eight situations where a beauty oil will be your shining saviour...
IF YOUR FACE IS FEELING SERIOUSLY PARCHED...
When your face feels like sandpaper, you need to act, pronto. Hydrating facial oils are your new bff. Skin that’s rough, dry or dull is a result of lack of moisture, which isn’t great for many reasons, starting with your makeup! Replenish your skin with these oils that absorb in seconds, leaving quenched, supple skin in their wake.

IF YOU WANT A FLAWLESS CANVAS FOR YOUR MAKEUP…
The problem here is that a lot of face oils take too damn long to soak in, and you need the oil to absorb before applying the rest of your face. Look for a super hydrating, fast-absorbing formula that’ll do its job efficiently, and will also allow your makeup to blend seamlessly – not slide right off your nose.

IF YOU WANT YOUR MAKEUP TO LAST…
A mist formula is brilliant at keeping your makeup fresh and glowy all day long. One that contains oils is ideal for maintaining the moisture in your skin to treat any dryness.

IF YOUR BODY NEEDS SOME SUMMER LOVIN’...
Party season is the best time of year to sport a shimmer body oil. Spiked with micro-fine gold flecks, these formulas impart your skin with a warm, luminous glow that relieves dry, winter-ravaged elbows and scaly skin.

IF YOUR BODY IS SERIOUSLY PARCHED…
If you’re new to body oils, prepare to become addicted, as they leave your skin feeling super soft and smooth. They trap the moisture in your skin all day long, and can be used everywhere for top-to-toe hydration. Plus, they won’t leave big oily marks on your clothes, we swear.

IF YOU HAVE OILY SKIN…
You’re probably not even considering applying more oil to your face, but certain oils can help your skin balance out its sebum production, meaning overactive pores will stop producing excess oil. Sounds good, right? We thought so! Make room in your bathroom for a cleansing oil, and wait for the magic to happen.

IF YOU’RE SPORTING ‘HOLIDAY HAIR’...
You know, hair that’s been in the sun, salt water and chlorine, and it’s starting to take on a life of its own? Get hair oil onto your strands, ASAP. Products that contain marula oil are especially good at reversing holiday hair neglect by replenishing moisture that’s been sucked out of the follicles. Even better, apply it pre-swim at the start of the day to stop any salt or sun from entering the shaft.

IF YOUR HAIR IS FINE, AND DRY…
A fab combo, am I right? But it’s not the end of the world. In fact, this problem can be fixed with any number of hair oils that are not too heavy, not too light, but a perfect in-between mix to replenish your vulnerable, thirsty locks.

The only body oil that I have ever used was Rosehip Oil and I regularly use Argan Oil in my hair to help keep frizzy hair at bay.
Will definitely have to try other Body Oils as Well.

I love oil and have used it on all of my body. I was avid user of the Trilogy Rosehip oil for skin and the Bio-perfecting oil by Thursday Plantation and love a hair oil with Argan oil!

I always oli cleanse when i have been wearing make up and can't go without some Moroccan argan oil in my hair after washing. It keeps it soft and manageable and much more hydrated.

I'm very much an oil person. I have been known to pop a vitamin E capsule and use it as an overnight mask on my face. The smell is certainly something you have to get used to but great results.

I actually have never tried any of the oils that are suggested here. However, I love oils! :) They are a real savior for my dry skin. I love face oils, although I think oil blends work better for my skin. I love the Santuary Spa bi-layer oil mist spray (easy to use and just hydrating). I also love hair oil - honestly, the only one that worked for me are the Loreal extraordinary hair oils, they are lovely and make my hair so soft! These are definitely some I should try in the future!
