My nose always gets burnt and it just ruins my whole face lol. So any ideas?
apply vinegar or sour cream to the burn!!!
Do you use sunscreen & reapply it? My HG product for sunburn is Garnier's "After Sun SOS sunburn balm". I'm not sure if they make it anymore though, it was quite tricky to find it a couple of years ago but Pharmore usually stocked it.
As a kid, when I got sunburnt, I was doused in a solution of cold black tea. Not fun, especially the cold part on burning hot skin. But it worked. These days, though, I swear by aloe vera gel, the prepared stuff from the shelves, or just the leaves, if you're lucky enough to grow some. Just cut a bit off, split it in two and rub the sap-gel stuff on. It's sticky and doesn't smell the best, but it works and the price is right.
I would say the best cure for sunburn is to NOT get sunburnt, and apply a good sunscreen, but seeing as you are already burnt there is an organic product available called cooling balm, its great for sunburn, taking the sting out of insect bites and just amazing after waxing, it will take the redness away and cool the area.
i hope savi are going to give me commission
, i just love their stuff lol
You should keep moisturising the place where you've been sunburnt, it won't make it go away instantly but it will help it :)
100% aloe vera gel (either straight from the plant or from a bottle in the chemist) fixes sunburn beautifully and is very healing for the skin. Feels good to apply and I find the redness is completely gone on me the next day. (Thankfully this is a very rare occurrence as I don't burn myself that often).
I also use it on other burns just as successfully. : )
Get aloe vera gel from the pharmacy - it's good for the skin and gets rid of sunburn quite quickly!
I had my first bad sunburn for this year. It really hurts. I came on hee to find sone remedies.I have been moisturizing lots
I got really badly sunburnt on my face on Saturday, I used fresh aloe vera (from the plant) three times a day, and wore Kosmea SPF 30 every day (to make sure it didn't get any more burnt, also the sunscreen has aloe vera, shea butter, rosehip oil etc in it which helps as well) :) a few days later you can't even tell I got burnt!
i agree - fresh aloe from the plant - i have 100's of aloe plants around the house and use it for everything ........ if you are a sydney girl - you can come and get one :-) poor luv -
mayb try using invisible zinc on ur nose i hear elle mcpherson has a good range. i hate it when i burn my face too all i can suggest is lots and lots of aloe vera (u can refrigerate this for a more intense cooling effect).
Definably buy an Aloe Vera plant and keep it in the garden. They are cheap but very beneficial.
Try natural yogurt I swear that stuff is good for everything!
i heard that rubbing milk and tomato on your skin is good! haven't tried it before though - i don't get sunburnt very easily. :D
A few years ago I got very sunburnt on my face - I was red as a beetroot - feeling embarrassed I wanted to 'disguise' the redness.
I used the Revlon Beyond Natural skin matching makeup (goes on white then changes to suit your skin tone).
I was absolutely amazed - it totally covered all of the redness and made me look 'normal' - I couldnt believe how well it worked!
I would recommend it to anyone
wow, thanks for that! sounds great :)
When I was younger and growing up I always had that problem with my nose. So much so that when I was in primary school a guy in my class used to call me "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer", I hated it but I new where he was getting the idea from. I didn't think I could treat it back then but now at 42, I have a lot of freckles on my nose now.
i've heard putting slices of apples on your face helps haha!
Yah, I think, nose is the place of face to attract people. As when you take sun-glass at the time of going outside, you can take cap/hat to protect your nose from getting burnt.
I heard to hold an iced tea towel to the area for as long as possible. this will suck the heat out and make the red go away. Or a damp cloth and a fan blowing onto your face could work also. usually overnight is the way to go but with it being your face and all that could get very annoying.
I use a small tip in order to reduce the oil in my face. I will massage a teaspoon of raw honey into your face and let it sit for 10-30 minutes before rinsing with cool water. This simple honey mask can smooth the skin, fight wrinkles, improve skin tone, reduce redness, and help with blemishes. I use b-honey.be product ie, Sunflower Raw Honey. Also I use sun cream lotion while going out side.
To cover it up, use a green concealer, cancels out the redness. Maybelline does a great one, you can buy it at the supermarket.
Cool water helps bring down the temperature of your skin. You can use Earl Grey tea bags to soothe the skin, the tannic acid in the tea bag is known for being an effective way to get rid of sunburn.
Here's an article that explains a step-by-step! Hope this helps, no one likes sunburn! Ouch :(
Always apply sunscreen, and be generous with it. I cannot stress this enough.
To help soothe the burn and help along the healing process aloevera gel or cream is fantastic but beware that it can be tightening on the skin.
You should also drink plenty of water and stay hydrated!
Run cold water over the effected area (Or even apply a cold item to it to cool the skin), use aloe vera and moisturise!
I also use paw paw balm if I am at home to give it a thicker layer so it doesn't dry out.
I received a sample of this serum and while it was only one ampoule, I noticed that my skin was so much smoother straight away!
Thank you to Beauty Heaven and Reef for the opportunity to review this sunscreen.
