Best mask for dry/damaged/tangled hair?
Best mask for dry/damaged/tangled hair?
I recently was checking out @ozhairandbeauty and they have such a great range of haircare, and I'm really after a mask for my dry, long, bleached, ends which get tangled up completely if I just use a normal conditioner. Any recommendations?
I've used the AG mask from Price Attack or NAK Herbal Bath, and both were quite good but I want the best one!
I'm also picking up some more Olaplex as my ends are like straw.
Thanks

The perfect!
I have just tried the Watermelon color from essie and my nails looks stunning! I love the vibrant color and received lots of compliments for.

Olaplex is great for damaged hair!
The most recent mask that I've tried that I would really recommend is the Nak Ultimate Treatment 60 Second Repair Mask. A little goes a long way so the tube lasts for ages. I use it in place of my conditioner every couple of washes (but you can use it more often if your hair really needs it!) and I find it to be really great for maintaining healthy hair (I also have bleached and thick, long hair!)
Yeah I tried that same Nak mask however I found it quite annoying as I could never squeeze the last few uses out of the almost empty tube! I even cut it open with scissors but the design of it made it impossible for me to get the last of the product out! It also didn't last as long as masks in tubs for me, which I use a lot - every time I wash my hair in place of conditioner.
After that experience I just prefer masks that come in tubs - at least not a bit is wasted that way.
I definitely need to start using Olaplex regularly again. There's just so many masks and I need to place an order but I don't want to end up with one that doesn't work for my hair.
I think it needs to have a good balance of both moisture, protein and good silicones, so I'll have to look into the ingredients - it's so annoying when they don't list them!
Original Mineral 7 Day Moisture miracle is amazing, hard to find in shops though! Moroccanoil Intense mask is another good one. Also agree with viki Olaplex is very good for repairing damage
You mean this one? https://www.ozhairandbeauty.com/products/o-m-seven-day-miracle-moisture-masque-250ml
It's actually one of the masks @ozhairandbeauty recommended too! I thought the packaging looked funny but I might give it a try now. Not very expensive either.
Yes, I was checking out that Moroccanoil mask too.
Thanks!
Yes that is the mask, it is excellent =)
Scarlett_Angel, at the risk of stating the obvious, have you contacted Oz Hair and Beauty for advice? I say this because I contacted Adore Beauty a while ago to get a recommendation for a shampoo and conditioner without protein, and the customer service assistant gave me a recommendation without hesitation. I was surprised at how quickly she came up with a suggestion because lots of people aren't aware of the issues that protein in hair products can give some people (it makes my hair feel brittle). If you speak to Oz Hair and Beauty, you might receive some great advice.
Beautyheaven recently published an article on hair masks:

I've also reported Fitbeauty's post as spam.
Kevin Murphy young again!
I tried Original Mineral 7 Day Moisture Miracle masque but personally didn't do much for me - and the design of the bottle is soooo bad! I found it very hard to squeeze out even when full, there's probably still at least 60% left but I can't get it out! Super annoying! Ended up removing the top and it's still hard to get it all out, I gave up!
I'm currently loving NAK Aromas Hydra Therapy and best of all the local hair salon stocks it. Very moisturising, and leaves my hair silky smooth even after I have to use a scalp exfoliating shampoo!
Need to place an order with ozhairandbeauty soon so may give the Moroccanoil Intense mask a go.
Unfortunately Olaplex no. 3 is sold out and no word on restocks - so am currently looking for something similar - not a mask but a bond repairer like Olaplex, just a different brand. I did email them and they suggested L'Oréal Professionnel Smartbond Step 3 or Schwarzkopf FIBREPLEX No.3 Bond Maintainer - but in the directions one it's basically used as a wash out mask. I normally leave Olaplex in overnight because I'm lazy, or at least a few hours - so if anyone has any good replacement suggestions for it I'd love to know before I go back to the hairdresser and get my hair bleached x 2 again (it's currently having a break while in isolation and I'm just focusing on repairing it).
:)
