Was just wondering if anyone had participated in this program before and what you thought. I'm thinking about joining for the next one.
I've been looking at it, but am not too sure I can afford it, but it would be great doing it knowing you aren't the only one, support is just over the internet somewhere.
I just joined to ask that exact same question. I don't have a lot of money but want something similar. There are so many mixed reviews on her guide, I just finished reading this one here at http://bestworkoutguides.com/ashy-bines-review and it kind of turned me off buying it.
The woman on that website is following a cheaper alternative and looks to be working for her I just don't know what to do. Ashy does have some kick ass classes by the looks of it though.
You girls should check out Tone It Up as well. I've been doing that for a few years and it's been great. I did but the diet plan but you don't have to and they have heaps of free challenges and workouts online. Have a look at my blog too if you want cos there's some more about it there or their website.
If you stick to a decent clean diet and exercise regularly for 12 weeks, of course you're going to see results. If you need the support online, there are plenty of free sites you can join (you could even start a thread here!)
I'm not a fan of her nutrition plan at all - too many Ryvitas (since when are they good for you?!) and protein shakes instead of real food.
I wouldn't waste your money.
I have seen some amazing results on it, I am not personally on it though, I'm on another weight loss and exercise program and have lost 13 kilos in just over 2 months =)
You can even just do the clean eating plan she does and see how that goes?
I started the clean eating plan last week and have lost weight and cm's so far :) The diet promotes healthy eating, which includes lots of protein and vege's. There are many hundreds of recipes in the forum and there is a support network of 13 000 members. I think it is great :) I may look at doing the actual challenge down the track as I only had a baby 7 weeks ago.
I signed up for the exercise challenge with some girls from work. I'm going to loosely follow her plan, there are some things I don't agree with like not drinking milk....Ill post how I go in this thread.
On day 5 of the eating plan and am really enjoying it.
It's great to hear you are enjoying it!
I just bought this on special for $49. Apparently this price is for a limited time only. Can't wait to start! I really just need a hand with my eating habits and to get healthy. I'm sick of being crook all the time!
I found this site that has heaps of free stuff for weightloss and working out http://www.missfitnesslife.com - seems more sensible
no milk ? so no dairy at all ? hmm..
I have the clean eating plan here, I got it free when all of that controversial stuff went all over facebook.
I would not pay $79 for it though considering its all common sense and no recipes. Most of the times she says just to search google for ideas anyway and google is free.
However, if you are joining it with the exercise plan also you will definitely lose weight if you stick to it.
I think clean eating is a great lifestyle change but I will never give up dairy, breads or red meats. I have been trying to start clean eating for a few months now but always fail because I love cooking with sauces
I forgot about this thread! I am waaaayyy too poor to buy the Ashy Bines plan thanks to some ridicuously priced textbooks, but I found this somewhere and thought I'd share. You may need to right click the picture and view it in a new tab so it is readable, but it is an over view of what clean eating is, I'm going to follow the guidelines myself and just see how I go.
One of my friends was sent the clean eating plan from a client and she passed it onto me, I was really disappointed because it is just common sense, all the stuff in it is stuff a lot of people already know. It's not an actual plan such as, on Monday have this, Tuesday have this etc.
I've been following the guidelines since 1 June. I've lost 7.9 kilos so far. I started the bootcamp challenge on Monday. I'm loving it :-) I'd say it's worth it if you are doing the exercise challenges because you get the plan free.
I'd like to try it but I cant afford to, nor do I think I really NEED it.
I'm one of those people who puts on weight easily but loses it with little effort as long as I eat well and go to the gym regularly.
i also just started the bootcamp on monday and so far love it! the exercises are fun and the pts are very motivating. i have been clean eating for about a month now and feel fantastic... i have lost heaps of cms around my tummy area just from clean eating. cant wait to see the results after the bootcamp finishes :)
personally i dont see what all the controversy is over ashy bines clean eating... its guidelines not a strict plan and if your someone like me that likes constant support from people striving to achieve the same goals its great!
and in reply to some other peoples posts, you can eat dairy in small amounts (its common sense that most dairy is high in fat and if your actually trying to lose fat this isn't good)... i still have my daily coffee with milk in it, as well as cottage cheese in most of my meals. Also the guidelines don't force you to drink lots of protein shakes and no where does it say that you have to eat mass amounts of ryvitas... its only one of the options you can choose to eat.
i have been trying to lose fat for years and so far this is the only thing that i have stuck to and that has worked for me. thumbs up from me!
I don't know if this has been posted in another thread, but another weight loss/wellbeing plan is Michelle Bridge's 12 week body transformation. It starts on August 27 and it's $200 with support online, workout plans, recipes etc.
Here's the website: http://www.12wbt.com/
I probably won't do it because I'm trying to use common sense when eating and find free workout info online (such a stinge, I know!) But the Michelle Bridges one does have a finale party hmm!
Carbs aren't bad, you need carbs, dairy isn't bad you need calcium. These diets are only for short term which is going to be mostly fluid loss too if you skip out too much calories, and will not teach you good nutrition eating habits that you will be able to maintain. At least eat between 1200 to 1400 calories per day at a minimum. Also i think with technology YouTube,, I phone apps and the Internet there is wealth of information available or free.
If it works for you, that's great , I just think there are more effictive diets,
I've also joined the gym for 1 month for $28 it's great for winter to keep my exercise motivation, lots of gyms do these promotions.
I have been hearing alot about this plan and I can't believe people would pay that much for very little. It seems like it's all common sense stuff and you can get so much of this info online.
I do think she has marketed herself very well so good on her, and alot of people seem to be getting results. Her boot camps are a great price so worthwhile.
I think women should just be kind to themselves, eat clean nutritious food and love their bodies no matter what the size. Trying to look like a bikini model isn't realistic when you have a different body type.
I have a blog http://stilettosandgreenjuice.com and I write about clean eating, fitness and happiness if anyone wants to check it out.
I really want to encourage people to be healthy as a lifestyle choice and not to fit into a bikini!
Great blog and name!
I agree with what you said about being healthy and fit rather than focussing on appearances. That was what discouraged me from joining up with fernwood (and the $199 joining fee). Fernwood have a really terrible marketing campaign of "get foxy" which I think sends the wrong message. Above the treadmills at my local fernwood is posters of women in bikinis with The get foxy message, the final straw was when I went to try a boxing class and they called it foxy box-A-cise.
I ended joining a mixed gym, genesis which I think has a more inspiring message with the "a club for everybody".
the final straw was when I went to try a boxing class and they called it foxy box-A-cise.
LOL that's hilarious!
That's a real turn-off for me! I hate it when companies market purely towards people who are a bit scared of exercise. Like people need the association of being 'sexy' in order for it to be motivation.
I actually find it demeaning??? Kind of like the male/female segregation is being forced.
It wouldn't surprise me if Ashy Bines doesn't last long. There's soooo much wrong with it (legally, nutritionally, ethically)
At the end of the day though, if something leads you to be healthier (mind & body), then it doesn't really matter how much you pay for it.
I may add, though: better value for money is Michelle Bridges cook book (it's more than a cookbook, and actually has a REAL diet plan in it), and it cost me $5.
Also, myfitnesspal, and calorie king are both free and are sooo worth using.
Ashy bines plan was on aca a few months back, lots of people complaining it was a complete waste of money.
When people asked her for support she said you can find it on google.
I get why people are complaining about the eating guidelines but I've found that the bootcamps are really quite separate from the Ashy stuff. The trainers I have actually disagree with some of what she says and help us out with our nutrition. Love them, I've rejoined for the next round. I think that it's something I can maintain long term, I'm eating yummy healthy food and getting a really good balance of different foods.
For many years I have had severe allergic reaction to normal hair colour that contains ammonia and peroxide.
I had good results both with niacinamide and vitamin C in the past, and I like using them both in my morning routine, but I'm not a fan of layering several products.
I loved this. I have dry hair but wow this changed it. It hydrated and moisturized my hair, it made it smell so nice and fresh. It gave my hair a shine.
