Rainy day rituals

I’m sorry, but did I somehow miss the memo informing us we were suddenly switching to dreary winter weather? Call me crazy but I’m pretty sure last time I checked February in the southern hemisphere was supposed to be summer.
So I’m not exactly mentally prepared for this relentless, annoyingly half-on, half-off rain (which is proving to be an extreme inconvenience to me and all my fun outdoorsy plans).
Unfortunately beauties it looks like it’s here to stay for a while, so rather than succumb to the boredom and restlessness of cabin fever, take advantage of the time indoors and catch up on some pamper sessions you’ve no doubt been promising yourself but have never got around to (if you’re anything like me that is!).
Show your feet some long-overdue love by bathing them in a pedi-spa or bowl filled with warm water and a calming soak such as Montagne Jeunesse Soothing Foot Soak/Lotion. Once your feet are feeling well rested, massage them with a foot scrub such as CND Creative Spa a.h.a Sea Scrub before removing them from the water and patting them dry. For ultra-soft skin slather on a rich foot cream like Feet by OPI Double Coverage and pop your tootsies into some cotton socks while the nutrients penetrate.
Treat your complexion to a DIY deep cleanse by removing all your make-up and massaging your skin with a gentle exfoliant. We like QV Face Exfoliating Polish. Next, apply a pore-cleansing mask such as Aveda Deep Cleansing Herbal Clay Mask, and indulge yourself to the max by running a bath and using the time it takes for it to set to relax and unwind.
Give your hair a boost of nutrients, repair damage and increase shine – without a trip to the salon – by applying an intensive treatment such as Burt’s Bees Avocado Butter Hair Treatment to your locks. Simply wet your strands and massage one tablespoon into your scalp and hair (focusing on the mid-lengths to ends and other damaged areas) before combing through and leaving for 15 minutes. Rinse and shampoo as normal and your hair will look full, healthy and revitalised.
What pamper session are you long overdue?

Definitely a pedicure, my feet are ruined from heels all day long! And maybe a nice aromatherapy massage and facial.

I am actually ready for the chilly weather I have my wardrobe all planned out lol But I do need a trim bad, I got my hair curled and its made my ends really dry, but I've been too lazy. While I'm there I'll probably get hair treatment done :D

Well, I'm glad we are finally getting some rain, even if it's a bit inconvenient! I could do with all of those pamper sessions, too! : ) I love the look of MJ's foot soak/lotion, very funky and a total bargain buy.

OOOHHHH I must get some of that CND foot scrub, will have to score myself some sticky base coat and super shiny top coat while I am at it, I could do with a manicure along with the pedi :)

I am going to the hairdressers tomorrow, which has been long overdue. A facial would be good too. Eventhough I keep up my regular routine, the skin still feels a bit yuk!

I need a massage so desperately, my neck muscles are so tight, it would be a therapeutic one rather than a pamper session!

Not really a pamper session, but a beauty necessity - I need my eyebrows waxed and tinted!

Personally I'm so glad for the switch in weather! I can finally wear proper foundation without worrying about it fading.

I am also overdue to see the hairdresser, unfortunately I just can't stretch the budget far enough this month. Oh well, a nice mask, treatment in my hair and a long soak in the bath will do :-)

I need to visit my hairdresser. My ends are so dry from the sun and my roots are starting to show. It does seem like summer ended abruptly. Might as well prepare for the cold season by correcting summer damages. My hair is on top of the list, next are my feet :)
