Get the look: perfect party makeup
Given that they’ve got the most celebrated make-up artists tending to their every uncurled lash and stray brow hair, it’s no wonder we aim to replicate their beauty looks and mimic their style.
So, with the festive season well and truly on its way, we thought we’d bring you four of the best celebrity make-up looks that you’ll no doubt want to get very good at recreating this silly season.
Pout punchy with Selena Gomez
Sometimes, those of us with dark hair and eyes can find it difficult to find an interesting focal point on our face, but Disney starlet, Selena, sure knows how to rock what she’s got. So let it be known – the lips are awesome to accentuate.
To begin, try using a creamy foundation (like COVERGIRL TRUBlend Whipped Foundation) to create that dreamy-looking base. Next, take to the brows with a pencil no more than a shade darker than your natural colour. We like Estée Lauder Automatic Brow Pencil Duo for its great blending and styling brush.
Selena’s eyes seem to stand out from her face because they’re carefully defined and not overdone. Mimic this clean look by foregoing the heavy eyeshadow. Instead, try lining the eyes with NP Set Eyeliner in Paris (blackest black) and defining with lashings of volumising mascara, like essence Stays On and On Volume Mascara.
To finish this look, opt for a lip shade that’s going to jump right out at people. To be a little left of centre, steer clear of classic reds and opt for a fuchia hue or a pinky-red like Selena. We love Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in Funtime Fuchsia.
