Blogstar entry: getting fit, looking good
I love going to the gym, it is the time of the day where I sweat out all my stress, and prepare myself for the challenges ahead. Health professionals will tell you that moderate exercise with the correct techniques can help with concerns such as weight lost, depression and muscle problems. In addition to that, exercise promotes good blood circulation, which in turn gives you healthy skin, is it not a great habit?
Unfortunately, going to the gym before work means that I have to carry my make up with me, in a small bag, which means limited space. Having things that can multitask became my number one priority, and my first must have is facial wipes. There are many cosmetic brands that make facial wipes, and I find Johnson and Johnson’s facial wipes can moisturize and removes waterproof mascara: a must to have for post-workouts and makeup mistakes in the bathroom.
A good primer comes next in line: Covergirl with Olay Simply Ageless Serum Primer is a good choice for me as it cares for my skin and gives me a flawless finish. I managed to buy one at half price from Coles one day and it is a good thing to have in your make up bag.
A bronzer or an illuminator is the next popular item in a travelling makeup bag, I like to use either for a healthy glow, and a light coat does wonders so they last a while. Forget blushers, lipstick or lip tint is the new must have! A lipstick can double as a cream blush, use a lip brush for lips or wipe with some tissues before dabbing a little lipstick onto the apples of the cheeks and blend well with fingertips.
Waterproof mascara is indispensable; I also carry a name card cut according to the curve of my eye to act as a shield when I apply my mascara. Having eye shadow palette that contains neutral brown and black, couple with Napoleon Perdis’ Cake Eyeliner Sealer and I now have eye shadow that can double as liquid eyeliner. The sealer also turns the eyeliner waterproof when dry, making it a dream come true for someone who is strapped for space.
All set, good to go.
