Summer body blitz

When summertime rolls around each year, so too does that tummy-twisting feeling that your body might not be looking and feeling beach ready just yet.
Don’t fret - what if I told you there was one product that could help address a multitude of summer body issues such as dry skin, a lacklustre complexion, scars and stretch marks?
Well, there is! Read on to find out about how the multi-tasking benefits of Bio-Oil can sort you out from top-to-toe this summer.
#1: To create a radiant glow
On a balmy summer’s night, the last thing you want to do before heading out is slap on a full face of make-up. Instead, just apply a BB cream to even out your skin tone along with a coat of mascara and a slick lip balm, then brighten up your cheeks with a couple of drops of Bio-Oil. You’ll be the envy of all your friends with a dewy fresh-from-a-month-in-St-Barts glow.
#2: To add moisture to dry skin
There’s nothing like that healthy sheen left on your skin after applying a luscious body oil. After stepping out of the shower, ditch your regular moisturiser and let your skin soak up the soothing properties of Bio-Oil, minus that greasy feeling some oils leave behind.
#3: As a hand and cuticle oil
Pop a few drops of Bio-Oil in your palm. Rub your palms together, then massage the oil into the backs of your hands, nails and cuticles for a boost of moisture. Pop the bottle in your handbag for soft mitts and healthy, hydrated nails anytime, anywhere.
#4: To smooth scars and stretch marks
The reason we all know and love this liquid gold is, of course, for its skin-smoothing benefits. Thanks to its blend of rosemary, calendula, chamomile, and lavender essential oils, it softens and soothes skin and is proven to improve the appearance of scars and stretch marks over time. Better yet, Bio-Oil’s PurCellin Oil technology helps to deliver these benefits deeper into the skin, so you can be body confident throughout summer and beyond.
#5: As a massage oil
After a day at the beach, your hair is reaping all the salty benefits (hello, beachy waves!), but your body is probably pretty parched. Why not treat yourself to a warm bath followed by a soothing back and shoulder massage using Bio-Oil? Enlist your partner to lend a helping hand, and let them know they’ll get super soft skin in return. It’s a win-win!
#6: As a brow tamer
Keep rogue brow hairs under control by smoothing them down with a touch of Bio-Oil. Not only does the oil tame pesky hairs, but it might also help brows to maintain their shape all day long.
#7: As a shaving oil
Summer means the shorter hems are coming out of the wardrobe and your legs are on show, so smooth-shaven pins are a must. Believe it or not, Bio-Oil makes for an excellent shaving oil, so slather over legs before shaving for the best shave and super-smooth legs.
How do you use Bio-Oil? Will you be trying any of these tricks?

Same here! I also am quite happy to use a few drops of Bio Oil on moist, cleansed skin in lieu of a more expensive facial serum (obviously I still use an eye-specific serum). Frankly, I can't imagine living without the stuff. It's on my theoretical "Desert Island Essentials" list along with 50+ SPF, toothpaste/brush and shampoo & conditioner...

I've tried Trilogy's rosehip oil and am looking at other oils to try. These alternative uses for oil is interesting and I might try them out.

I bought a bottle of Bio-Oil many many years ago. I did not like the smell and feel of the oil on my skin. Furthermore, it contains mineral oil and isopropyl myristate, ingredients which could cause skin irritation and perioral dermatitis (red, irritated, flaky, lumpy and bumpy skin around the mouth and nose). I prefer natural oils such as coconut oil, olive oil, macadamia oil, or a commercial product such as Sukin Well-Being Body Oil or Thursday Plantation Nurture Oil.

I love my Bio Oil. Was great for itchy skin when pregnant and just recently I burnt my neck with a curling wand. The Bio Oil healed the burn with no scarring in record time. Amazing stuff.
